Features Overview

Feature 1

I volunteered with the Children Are Citizens project hosted by Pre-K 4 SA, where I had the privilege of introducing four-year-olds to the basics of photography and creative expression. The students collaborated on a collage that reflected their artwork and personal perspectives of the city through a child’s eyes. Their photography was later exhibited and auctioned at Cinnabar Gallery inside the Blue Star Arts Complex in the King William Cultural Arts District as part of the “Gracias” community fundraiser. The exhibit celebrated the imaginative voices of young learners while bringing together art, education, and community support

Feature 2

Texture Culture is a community-focused art collaboration created in partnership with Helen L. Holmes to celebrate and educate others on African American culture, identity, and personal style. The exhibit featured a collection of original pieces centered on the beauty and significance of natural hair, highlighting the history, self-expression, and lived experiences of African Americans. Through visual storytelling and cultural dialogue, the showcase encouraged appreciation, pride, and deeper understanding within the community.

Feature 3

I was selected to participate in a student question-and-answer session with a local middle school following the two-week Texture Culture exhibit celebrating natural hair. During this discussion, students asked thoughtful questions about African American culture, identity, and personal style, creating an open space for learning, dialogue, and cultural appreciation. The session extended the exhibit’s impact beyond the artwork itself, allowing young learners to engage directly in meaningful conversations about history, self-expression, and representation.

A collection of photos chosen for editorials, fashion shows, art galleries, and model portfolios.
